About Me
Dramatic tenor Joel Montero, born in Mexico and holding dual nationality with Germany, is currently living in Switzerland. For more than two decades, dramatic tenor Joel Montero has brought his voice and passion to the world’s operatic stages, performing leading roles in Germany, France, England, Switzerland, Mexico and beyond. Specializing in the dramatic tenor repertoire, he has portrayed characters such as Canio, Otello, Don José, Turiddu, Cavaradossi and Rodolfo. These are roles that demand not only vocal power, but also emotional depth and theatrical truth. With over twenty years of experience, dramatic tenor Joel Montero continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his powerful performances and compelling stage presence.

I’m thrilled to share a preview of some exciting updates in my artistic journey. Soon, I’ll be making my debut in Ireland with Pagliacci and Cavalleria Rusticana. Two powerful roles I’ve performed before, now in a brad-new setting.
And I’m extremely proud to announce my upcoming debut as Radames in Aida, in Switzerland. A legendary role I’ve long dreamed of bringing to life.
